If you want a really dark deep southern italian espresso this is not the beans for you. This is a northern Italian espresso that is typical of what you get in Roma or Milano. The bags from Amazon come reasonably fresh and the free delivery is hard to beat. The coffee is consistent batch to batch, a 25 second extraction gives a reliable italian style espresso with a good machine. I use an exobar office lever with a mazzer mini mill and go through about 5 lbs a month. Kids and wife love it. I like it for mass market. PEET’s espresso is better if you want a darker/stronger espresso, but commercially this is the best I have found

Great coffee. As an official Dunkin-Donut’s addict, this is the closest, mellow taste but strong. The others are not even near the same and have that “burnt” harshness of a “Starbucks” like coffee. If you like DD coffee this is the K-cup to get for your day off at home.

One of my favorites to use in my old reliable francis x1. I never bother with grinding my own bean, especially because I enjoy this brand as-is without the extra step. There are definitely better espresso to be had, but as my generic, always in the cupboard, this is my usual go-to.

I noticed there were some very negative reviews for this coffee, but we were looking for something inexpensive that we could get delivered through Amazon Prime, so we gave it a shot. What I’ve concluded is that this is a great coffee at a great price for coffee drinkers who aren’t particularly discriminating in their coffee tastes (especially if you doctor it up with plenty of cream and sugar, as we tend to do). Honestly, we thought this coffee was perfect until we traveled to Panama and tasted real fresh-roasted, mountain grown coffee. After that, coming home to Eight O’Clock wasn’t so great. But if you are already drinking pre-ground coffee, and don’t have a particular brand preference, I’m guessing you’ll be totally happy with this product. And because we’re cheap, we’re still drinking it too.
